The Students Loan Trust Fund (SLTF) has officially completed the reimbursement of academic fees for first-year students in public tertiary institutions for the 2024/2025 academic year. This process was carried out under the No Fees Stress initiative introduced by President John Dramani Mahama.
According to SLTF, enrolment data received from public tertiary institutions covered 178,745 first-year student records. Out of this number, 168,855 students successfully completed their applications. Following the validation process, 152,698 students were approved and reimbursed.
To promote openness and accountability, SLTF has introduced an N.F.S Status Checker on its official website. This platform allows students to verify their validation and reimbursement status directly online.
The Fund reaffirmed its dedication to transparency, careful management, and responsible use of public funds. These efforts, SLTF noted, are aimed at supporting accessible, inclusive, and equitable higher education across Ghana.
