The Ghana Armed Forces has addressed reports circulating in the media which claim that a significant number of applicants failed recent military medical examinations due to HIV status. According to the Armed Forces, these claims are entirely false and should be disregarded.
In an official statement released by the Department of Public Relations at the General Headquarters in Burma Camp, Accra, the Armed Forces clarified that no medical screening results have been released at this time. The medical examination process for applicants is still ongoing, making any assertions about outcomes inaccurate and misleading.
The statement further emphasized that efforts are underway to identify those responsible for originating and spreading the false information. The Ghana Armed Forces used the opportunity to caution media practitioners, content creators, bloggers, and vloggers to exercise professionalism by verifying information thoroughly before publication.
The Armed Forces reaffirmed their commitment to transparency and accuracy in official communication and urged the public to rely solely on verified releases from authorized sources.
