The Minister for the Interior, acting on the recommendation of the North East Regional Security Council and through an Executive Instrument, has officially withdrawn the curfew imposed on Nalerigu Township and its surrounding areas in the North East Region. This decision takes effect immediately, following the restoration of calm and improved security conditions within the area.
The Government has once again appealed to traditional authorities, opinion leaders, the youth, and residents of the affected communities to remain calm and responsible as they address ongoing challenges. Citizens are encouraged to adopt peaceful and non-violent approaches in resolving issues, with the collective aim of sustaining harmony and stability in the area.
