Residents in parts of the Ashanti Region should prepare for a temporary interruption in electricity supply as the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) undertakes scheduled maintenance works.
According to the notice, the planned maintenance exercise is aimed at improving service delivery. However, it will result in a temporary power outage across several communities.
The maintenance is set to take place on Thursday, 9th April, 2026, from 9:00am to 6:00pm.
Areas expected to be affected include Akrowa, Kodie, Apagya, Akrofrom, Patasi, Aduman, Aduamoah, Denase, Akom, Nkwntakese, Pampatia, Boamang, Amoako, Tetrem, Dwamena Akenten SHS, Offinso, Namong, Kokote, Kayera, as well as parts of Barekese, Abira, and nearby communities.
ECG has apologized for any inconvenience that may arise as a result of this exercise.
