The Ministry of Health in Ghana has officially declared the start of a nationwide recruitment exercise for health professionals, following the approval of financial clearance. This recruitment is set to begin on 16th April 2026.
The exercise will be carried out in a decentralized manner, with recruitment taking place at the district level based on confirmed vacancies. The process is expected to be competitive and transparent, guided by an approved quota system that covers all cadres and year groups.
All recruitment activities will strictly follow the approved budget limits. Qualified health professionals are encouraged to stay updated by monitoring official Ministry of Health platforms as well as district health administration channels for vacancy announcements and detailed application procedures.
Applicants are advised to get all necessary documents and credentials ready ahead of the recruitment process to ensure a smooth application.
The financial clearance granted for this exercise will remain valid until 31st December 2026, and all recruitment activities must be completed within this period.
The Ministry also encourages all eligible professionals to take advantage of this opportunity to support and improve healthcare delivery across Ghana.
