The National Service Personnel Association (NASPA) has officially addressed the ongoing delay in the payment of allowances to National Service Personnel (NSPs). In a statement released by the association’s national leadership, concern was expressed over the situation and the impact it has had on personnel across the country.
According to NASPA, the delay has caused significant inconvenience, and the leadership acknowledged the frustration and discomfort experienced by many NSPs. The association emphasized that it understands the challenges personnel are facing during this period.
However, NASPA assured all service personnel that the payment of allowances is expected to begin soon. As part of preparations toward the disbursement, NSPs have been strongly encouraged to log into their NSS dashboards and confirm that their GhanaPay numbers are accurately updated. This step is necessary to prevent any issues when the payments commence.
The directive is not limited to currently serving personnel alone. Individuals who have already completed their national service but are still awaiting outstanding allowance payments are also required to ensure their GhanaPay details are properly updated.
NASPA reiterated its commitment to safeguarding the welfare and interests of all National Service Personnel and assured members that efforts are being made to resolve the situation.
The statement was issued by Samdeen Mumuni, Public Relations Officer (PRO) of NASPA National.
