The Ghana Scholarships Secretariat (SCHOLSEC), under the Office of the President, has officially released a notice regarding the Japanese Government Monbukagakusho (MEXT) Scholarship for the 2026 academic year. The announcement, issued in Accra on 13th October 2025, is for immediate circulation.
According to the notice, the scholarship opportunity is open to interested and qualified applicants and is specifically available to trained teachers. The Secretariat encourages eligible individuals to carefully review the requirements before applying.
Applicants are advised to study the application guidelines thoroughly to understand the qualifications and conditions attached to the scholarship. Both the guidelines and application forms can be accessed through the official website provided by the Embassy of Japan.
Completed application forms are to be submitted to the Ghana Scholarships Secretariat, which will forward them to the Embassy of Japan in Accra for further processing.
The deadline for submitting application forms is 30th January 2026.
