The National Service Authority (NSA) has officially released postings for 6,867 qualified nurses and midwives for the 2026/27 National Service Year.
In a statement dated February 25, 2026, management of the Authority confirmed that the postings cover candidates who successfully passed the March/April 2025 (minor season) Licensure Examination conducted by the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
Eligible nurses and midwives are required to visit the Authority’s official website at https://nss.gov.gh/home and access the portal to check their respective places of posting. They are also expected to follow the outlined procedures to complete their regional validation.
According to the release, the service or rotation period for the 6,867 personnel will commence on Monday, March 2, 2026. The regional validation exercise is scheduled to begin on Thursday, February 26, 2026, and conclude on Friday, March 13, 2026. Management has therefore encouraged all prospective service personnel to ensure they complete the validation process within the specified timeframe.
The Authority further reminded the public that under the National Service Authority Act, 2024 (Act 1119), every Ghanaian citizen aged 18 years and above who has completed an accredited tertiary institution — including universities and nursing training colleges — is legally required to undertake national service to the State.
