GES Announces 2026 Teaching Recruitment for Qualified Graduates



The Ghana Education Service (GES) has opened applications for qualified and committed graduates seeking teaching positions within the service.


According to the vacancy notice dated 10th April 2026, GES is inviting applications from graduates who hold a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) degree or related education qualifications to fill teaching vacancies.


Successful applicants will be expected to support learning through the use of 21st-century technology, address the needs of learners with different abilities, and help students achieve strong academic outcomes. Teachers will also be required to improve learners’ research skills using modern technologies, apply varied assessment methods to evaluate student competencies, and uphold the National Teaching Standards and Code of Conduct in their professional practice. In addition, selected candidates are expected to participate in continuous professional development programmes.


To qualify, applicants must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a relevant Bachelor’s Degree together with a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE), Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE), or Diploma in Basic Education. Applicants must also have completed National Service.

Further requirements include being in good standing with the National Teaching Council (NTC) and holding a valid teaching license. Candidates should also demonstrate strong communication and classroom management abilities and must be willing to accept postings to deprived districts.

Applicants must complete the online form and upload the necessary documents, including Degree or Diploma certificates, National Service Certificate, NTC License, Ghana Card, passport-sized photograph, as well as an active email address and phone number. Documents may be submitted in picture format or PDF.


The application window runs from 10th April to 17th April 2026.
