A devastating rainstorm has left a trail of destruction at Walewale Senior High Technical School, severely affecting academic life on campus. The heavy downpour caused extensive damage to critical infrastructure, leaving more than 2,000 students stranded and disrupted.

Classrooms were heavily impacted, making it difficult for teaching and learning to continue as expected. Dormitory facilities also suffered damage, affecting student accommodation and safety. In addition, laboratory spaces were not spared, further disrupting practical lessons and academic activities.

The incident, which occurred on 26th April 2026, comes at a particularly challenging time as students are in the middle of the West African Senior School Certificate Examination.
