TTAG Announces Date for Petition Submission on Teacher Recruitment



The Teacher Trainees’ Association of Ghana (TTAG) has announced Friday, April 17, 2026, as the date for the official presentation of its petition concerning teacher recruitment and posting in Ghana.


According to the association, the petition has already been shared with key stakeholders ahead of the formal submission. The institutions that have received the document include the Ministry of Education, the Ghana Education Service, the Ministry of Finance, the National Democratic Congress, and the Office of the President of the Republic.


TTAG stated that the petition represents the shared concerns and expectations of teacher trainees across the country regarding recent developments in the recruitment process. The association noted that the move is intended to encourage constructive engagement toward a clear and fair pathway into service.


The association also reaffirmed its commitment to lawful, respectful, and solution-focused engagement in addressing issues affecting its members and the wider education sector.


TTAG further called on the public and the media to take note of the development and closely follow the process as it continues.
