National Service Personnel across the 2025/2026 and 2026/2027 batches have been advised to take note of an important clarification regarding payment methods and bank account updates. This follows confusion surrounding recent communication about changes to payment platforms.
For personnel in the 2025/2026 batch, there is no change to the current system. GhanaPay remains the only approved platform for receiving monthly allowances. Members of this group are not required to take any action and should ignore any instructions related to updating bank account details for allowance payments.
However, the directive applies specifically to the 2026/2027 batch, particularly those interested in accessing the loan facility. A new payment platform is being introduced for this group, and they are required to update their bank details through the portal using any of the approved banks.
For those without an existing account, there is an option to open an Absa Ignition Account directly through the portal. All required updates and account setup must be completed by April 25, 2026.
Personnel are encouraged to remain calm and carefully follow the instructions that apply to their respective service year. Prompt action is necessary for those affected to avoid any delays in future processes.
